Focus

I work with adults and couples who are experiencing difficulties as a result of Grief and Loss, Anxiety, Depression, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and PTSD, and Life Transitions.

Life is full of collective experiences. Through these experiences we connect with others, all experiencing change, transitions, and growth. Though, some of these experiences may leave you feeling isolated and alone. You may feel stuck or be having difficulty navigating life’s changes, challenges, or transitions. Collective Counseling Center will provide a safe place to explore your life transitions, feelings, and develop meaning out of the collective experience, leaving with a greater sense of self-compassion and growth.

Style

As individuals, we all are meant to connect and interact with one another. One of the things I love about providing therapy is the connections that I make with my clients. It is a rewarding experience to sit with people during times of incredible pain and witness these same individuals, learn, grow, and accomplish things that previously were thought to be unattainable. I've witnessed my clients learn how to value their own thoughts and feelings, establish healthy boundaries, build confidence and compassion in oneself, and make changes to live the life they desire. I believe that you will feel the compassion I have for my work and my clients come through in the connection that the therapeutic relationship builds. To experience the benefits of therapy, the relationship between the therapist and the client is essential. You need a therapist that you can trust, has compassion for you and the experiences you have gone through, and who has the professional training to empower you to achieve the goals you have set. I strive to create a safe place for you to feel comfortable, though if for some reason we do not connect, I will do my best to find another therapist that may be a better fit for you. My hope is although circumstances cannot always be changed, you will find healing through the therapeutic process and regain connection and fulfillment not only with others, but also within yourself.

Taylor Morris, LCSW

Focus

Hi! I’m Taylor, and I’m a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) at Collective Counseling Center.

My clients are often navigating relationship struggles, depression and anxiety, loss and change, or questions about self-worth and purpose. They're questioning what they want, struggling with self-doubt, and finding it hard to stay connected—to themselves and to others.

I became a therapist because I believe that continuing to understand ourselves more fully - including the uncomfortable, contradictory, and confusing parts - creates a greater sense of connection with ourselves and others and leads to more meaningful engagement with the world around us. I work with people who feel a gap between the life they imagined and the one they're living, who are stuck in patterns that aren't working anymore, and who are ready to explore what might be possible instead.

Style

My approach is rooted in developing genuine self-awareness and learning to be present with your full experience. Together we'll explore how you navigate your inner and outer world, confront what's been avoided, sit with feelings that have been kept at bay, and examine the stories you tell yourself. The goal is to develop the capacity to stay present with yourself and others even when things are difficult, to tolerate the vulnerability of emotions, and to live with more integrity between your values and actions.

As a social worker, I'm mindful that therapy happens within larger contexts. Economic stability, access to resources, sociopolitical climate—these all impact mental health and well being. While we can't solve systemic issues in therapy, we can bring them into the room and connect the dots between your personal experience and the world around you.

If parts of your life leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or like something isn't working, you're not alone—and there's a way forward. Please reach out by phone or email to schedule a free consultation call to determine if we’d be a good fit.

Education & Training

I'm a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of MA and have over 8 years of experiencing working with populations who have complex histories of trauma – such as adults experiencing homelessness, adolescent and adult survivors of domestic violence and sex-trafficking, and adults navigating severe mental illness and substance use disorders. I’ve worked with people in community mental health settings such as outpatient centers, schools, non-profits, and libraries.

I’m currently practicing psychotherapy under a clinical supervisor in the state of MA and am accruing hours towards independent licensure. I take a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to my work, and I care deeply about building genuine rapport and trust with clients as an essential element of clinical work. I have a variety of clinical training including motivational interviewing, trauma-informed clinical approaches, working with people in crisis, and harm reduction techniques. I’m currently exploring additional training in existential and relational psycho dynamic approaches.
